Here's a quick overview of the construction differences of the Unisex Spark models and Women's Spark models (including which models can be zipped to which other models):
Baffle construction and zip length change with each temperature rating:
| Model | Baffles | Zip | Can zip to |
| Spark 7°C | Sewn-through | Left #5 half zip | None |
| Spark -1°C | Hybrid: box baffles in torso, sewn-through in legs | Left #5 half zip | None |
| Spark -9°C | Full box baffles | Left #5 full zip | Women's Spark -9C, or any STS bag with a right #5 full zip |
| Spark -18°C | Full box baffles | Left #5 full zip | Women's Spark -9C or any STS bag with a right #5 full zip |
| Women's Spark 7°C | Sewn-through | Right #5 half zip | None |
| Women's Spark -1°C | Hybrid: box baffles in torso, sewn-through in legs | Right #5 half zip | None |
| Women's Spark -9°C | Full box baffles | Right #5 full zip | Any STS bag with a left #5 full zip |
Only full-length-zip models can be zipped together. The Spark has no footbox zip, so it can't open flat as a quilt; the Spark Pro and Ascent can.
