Both options are available.
Sea to Summit sells head nets and shelters with and without Insect Shield. The Mosquito Head Net [Permethrin] has a treatment bonded to the fabric that adds active repellency against mosquitoes and other biting insects, in addition to the physical mesh barrier.
If you prefer a chemical-free option, the standard Mosquito Head Net relies purely on the mesh itself for protection.
Both the treated and untreated mesh, drawcord and hardware are also compatible with your own spray-on or wash-in permethrin treatment if you'd like to add it yourself.
