Even with correct use, water can still seep through the roll-top closure of any dry sack or dry bag, regardless of the brand. Double-bagging is a smart and simple way to reduce the risk of your phone getting wet or damaged.
We don't recommend relying on a single dry sack or bag for protecting electronics, no matter how new or well looked after it is - especially in wet or unpredictable conditions.
