When you first get your Watercell or Pack Tap, wash it with warm water and mild dish soap. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before storing.
For drying:
-
Hang the Watercell upside down using the lash points on the side.
-
Position the Pack Tap so the opening faces downward. Using a spacer, like a bent wire hanger or the handle of a kitchen spoon, will help air circulate through the bladder.
It’s essential to ensure both products are completely dry before storage, as moisture left inside can lead to mould growth.
Do not use boiling water to clean either product. The high heat will cause the Pack Tap’s welded seams to fail immediately.
If your Watercell or Pack Tap has residue from juice or wine and dish soap doesn’t remove it, do not use bleach. It will leave a strong taste that lingers. Instead, use effervescent peroxide cleaning tablets to remove sticky or stubborn residue.
